Nick Dean is the leader and guide for our team of digital and creative communications strategists as they develop and launch innovative, effective and authentic campaigns, content and products.

From digital advertising and social media content strategy to website redesigns and email marketing campaigns, Nick’s work in the digital realm runs the gamut. His work looks to engage the right people in the right way with the right message. He is passionate about democratizing digital communications and always looking for connections between organizational communications goals and what can be achieved online.

Prior to Burness, Nick was a strategist at 270 Strategies, where he ran social media, email marketing and online organizing and fundraising campaigns for international nonprofits, political campaigns and companies. He’s worked with organizations like Facebook, Chobani, Texas Children’s Hospital, the National Patient Advocates Foundation and more.

He’s a former journalist with a passion for the written word. He studied journalism and political science at Baylor University and worked as the social media editor and online breaking news reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram before moving to Washington, D.C., for eight years. He now lives back in his home state of Texas with his wife, Sommer, and his two children, Maya and Easton.
